Jawan in spotlight Kisan is forgotten

                    Malvan Village in Surendranagar districts which lies Saurashtra region of Gujrat. The farmers of this village and surrounding villages have several complaints about both the State and Central government. These include failure in payment of crop insurance. Poor MSP.
Water scarcity in spite of good connectivity to Narmada canal, and power shortage. As Gujarat goes to polls on 23rd April.  The reporters speak with the farmers of Malvan to understand how they perceive the all-important Lok Sabha elections. people said In 2018 we didn't receive any rainfall and all talukas in Surendranagar District were declared drought - affected.

Fasal Bima Yojna all affected areas should receive 25% of the sum assured within 7 days. but in the last 3-4 months. we have received 6%. A man wrote to the PM CM Dy. CM  and even local MLA but nothing has happened. They deducted Rs 30,600 as premium from my account and just four days back they paid me Rs 20,000 from the sum assured. I got Rs 10,000  less than the actual premium that's deducted from my account. Now, what can a farmer do? every farmer has the same problem.

All farmers pay 5% premium on Rs 1 lakh which is Rs. 5000 paid to Universal Sompo General Insurance Company. According to the guidelines Pradhan Mantri

The Government has set MSP for cotton between Rs 1,040 and Rs 1,060. But farmers less than that - around 800 to 900 rupees sometimes 1,000 farmers don't get the full rate. The government say we will buy MSP' but never does so.
 For 20kg of produce, farmers incur a loss of Rs. 200 and almost all farmers incur a loss of Rs 500 to 600. farmers produce over 100 quintals and on each, they lose around 1000. So by not buying at MSP the farmers incur a loss of 1 lakh or 1.5 lakhs.
