  Potholes and narrow roads
 

     Potholes are the well known problem in the city. This problem had been General knowlege question for Maharashtra Public Services Commission's exams. As Aurangabad became top for the worse conditions of roads. The famouse dialogue, "Potholes in roads or roads in potholes, this the big confussion" is being viral. Some years earlier, there was atleast one road that is highway called as Jalna road was good in condition. But now it also ruin its status.
  This is the harsh reality of the city. Today city dont have a single 2km road with no potholes. As the city is racing for the smart city, how will it be a smart city is the big question mark? On the one side, at the central level, PWD minister Mr. Gadkari is building 5km road per day and other side city is facing 5km road per 5 years. Here road only build at the time nearer to elections. Othere issues in front of the city like waste management or water crisis are considerable but potholes or narrow roads are curable. Then why AMC not taking any action for it. Big bills are being sanctioned and 70% of it goes to their pocket. Thats what the reason why roads are not durable. If by chance any road had build then after some days there will be some work or problem occurs inside it and road has to break. Then the road rebulding process is depents on the next election period.
It is not only a traveling issue for citizens but also affecting on their health. Various orthopedic problems are being suffered by 80% of citizens because of worst conditions of roads. Gap in the backbone, various back pain problems along with mental stress. As sic lane roads are expected but atleast whatever the roads are would be good in condition. Atleast it doesn't contains potholes that lead to health problems.
The mains reason for the potholes is the curruption. The curruption in the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation and also in the administrative department. No one from the ruling party is really willing to make city smart. Everyone is busy in filling their pockets. Not 100% but atleast 30% result is expected by common people.
The question of narrow roads is in the roots of the city. Not whole city but some of the part of it was planned that time. So that the size of roads were decided. City has only two main highways, one is Jalna Road and second is Beed By pass. Beed by pass is comparitively in good condition than Jalna road. But the accidental damage is the horrible problem their. Monthly 22 deaths were reported on that road. Their should some action on such a serious issue. There is no services road. Locals must have to use highway so that can be one of the reason behind accidents. That would be planned to build in the upcoming months in the meeting held by AMC and DM Chiranjeev Prasad. May it will result good.
The main city that is the area of Aurangpura, Shahaganj, ect. The roads there are so narrow. That is the main shopping area and because of roads it got struck into traffic. During festive seasons, almost from every part of the city people came. The management face problem in these periods.
  As it is said by locals that the Police commissioner Amiteshkumar was doing best work for traffic managements and also to take decisions in the infrastructure of roads. Even DM Chiranjeev Prasad is doing his best for the proper administration. He made compulsory to use helmet and strict in the following of signals. Such like many decisions are being taken for proper administration. If the problem of potholes and narrow road would be solve then this will be the one step move towards the development of infrastructure ultimately towards smart city.
