   Water scarcity problem                      Water plays very important role human's life. It is the most essential component of body. Even day to life is depends on it. The famous quote "Jal hi Jivan He" proving it correct. The meteorological department is expecting worst drought this year. Already Aurangabad is inder Marathwada and it is very badly droughted areas in Maharashtra. The ground water level is much low and the rain in this monsoon was of very few mili literes. The Jayakwadi dam from where the water is supplied to whole city now in the month of October has water storage up to 22%. As per official records, Aurangabad was facing nearly 53% water deficit until latest revival of monsoon. Khultabad (69%), Kannad (62%), Sillod (58%), Paithan, Gangapur (both 56%) and Soygaon (52) are among talukas from Aurangabad district that have been showing maximum rainfall deficit. Th...

  Potholes and narrow roads        Potholes are the well known problem in the city. This problem had been General knowlege question for Maharashtra Public Services Commission's exams. As Aurangabad became top for the worse conditions of roads. The famouse dialogue, "Potholes in roads or roads in potholes, this the big confussion" is being viral. Some years earlier, there was atleast one road that is highway called as Jalna road was good in condition. But now it also ruin its status.   This is the harsh reality of the city. Today city dont have a single 2km road with no potholes. As the city is racing for the smart city, how will it be a smart city is the big question mark? Waste management issue in aurangabad

Waste management issue in aurangabad   While talking about the social problems of Aurangabad city, Garbage management stands first. From last 5 months, citizens facing this problem. The rootcause of the issue was  improper management of waste by Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC). The locals from Mitmita and Padegaon where AMC used to dump garbage kicked the protest against dumping site.    Earlier, all the garbage collected through the whole city was dumped there near Padegaon & on the way towards Mitmita. But there were no proper segregatiom of wet and dry garbage. Not even the management of medical waste. This improper management of medical waste killed lots of animals. Cows, dogs, goats, ect. were died because of harmful medical waste. These also adversely affected on the health of people in locality.
